this mini waterfall is to be found inside the Guinness Storehouse, an impressive building which tells the story of one of our most popular beverages. it and many other treasures were visited yesterday by upwards of a dozen photographers on a fun photowalk to promote Dublin tourism, visitdublin.com will give you many more ideas. thanks Sarah Kavanagh and all of the simplyzesty crew for organising.

the inside of poolbeg power station (yep the one with the massive towers you can see from dublin bay), a seriously impressive place, decommissioned but still there for lucky photographers and the odd ESB worker to wander around. amidst water drips and the hum and clank of a few remaining active components of an installation which not too long ago supplied a fifth of the country's electricity. enough of a history lesson, have a few more photos from here to blog but thought this first one best showed the intricate yet huge nature of the place.

another photo from the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk ably organised by Richard Davies around Kilmainham. I suppose it is just the purple/green/yellow colours in this photo that appeal to me, this part of town is a hidden gem only a short stroll from the public transport hub at Heuston station, and contains many delights such as the wonderful Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the War Memorial Gardens with its grassy slopes rolling all the way to the Liffey.

Issa-Bella at the recent Dublin Strobist meet on Portmarnock strand. I hadn't put this on flickr as you can't see much of her face, but after a bit of processing (lighten the sky and remove some of the orange cast from the gel used) it is not too bad - can't remember all the flash settings either unfortunately.
